Course Overview

OFF ROAD (4 * 4) TRAINING

Participants must hold a valid driver’s license. Some experience with vehicle operation is preferred, but no prior off-road driving experience is required.

  • Introduction to 4×4 systems and vehicle mechanics

  • Pre-trip inspections and vehicle readiness

  • Terrain types and how to approach each (sand, rocks, mud, hills, water)

  • Use of differential locks, low-range gears, and tire pressure management

  • Basic recovery techniques (winching, towing, using recovery tracks)

  • Communication, convoy driving, and navigation in remote areas

  • Environmental awareness and minimizing impact

  • Emergency procedures and survival basics in remote areas

  • Understand how 4WD systems operate and when to engage them

  • Perform off-road vehicle checks and setup based on terrain

  • Navigate safely and confidently through various off-road environments

  • Apply safe driving techniques and manage vehicle control in unstable terrain

  • Execute basic recovery methods in case of vehicle bog-down or obstruction

  • Follow communication and convoy protocols during group expeditions
